A heartfelt thank you to our incredible community! River City Food Bank’s three Holiday Food Distributions were a resounding success, serving nearly 2000 families this season. This achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and support of our amazing volunteers, hardworking staff, and the wonderful guests we are privileged to serve.

Every $2 donated will provide a healthy meal to a family facing hunger this holiday season!
Please consider making a gift of any size to help RCFB source and purchase nutritious and culturally meaningful food. We are also accepting donations of gift cards and gift certificates to distribute to our guests during the holidays.
With our wholesale partners, RCFB can stretch your donated dollars further!
River City Food Bank could not operate without the hard work and dedication of more than 1200 volunteers each year. If you are interested in signing up to volunteering, click here.
Whether you collect a lot or a little, every bit of food you collect will help feed people in your community. Have some fun with it! Keep sharing pictures and updates about the food drive with your team and on social media! Check out our toolkit to get started.
Your Donation Changes Lives

Hosting a Food Drive
Hosting a food drive is a great way to support your neighbors facing hunger! Whether you are collecting a few items from your house or hosting a large drive at your office, all in-kind donations are appreciated.

Due to limited staff capacity and resources during the holiday season, River City Food Bank can only pick up food drive donations if the following criteria apply:
- There is a minimum of 500 items that have been collected that needs to be picked up AND
- The pickup location is within a 5 mile radius of downtown Sacramento
*Please note that if the radius is up to 10 miles of downtown Sacramento, we can accommodate a pickup if there are 1,000+ items collected.
