Mark your calendars! Empty Bowls 2014 will be coming to the Sacramento Convention Center March 10 and 11, 2014. On Monday, March 10, get ready for a night of drinks, hors d’oeuvres, soups and desserts presented by Classique Catering. Or attend the Luncheon on Tuesday, March 11th for a traditional soup lunch and desserts by local restaurants. Each ticket includes a hand-crafted bowl as a reminder of hunger in our community. You can’t go wrong! Empty Bowls is RCFB’s signature event that raises funds, friends and awareness for our ongoing fight against hunger in Sacramento County. Last year, Empty Bowls was attended by over 1,300 people and raised more than $100,000, 96% of which directly funds our food programs. This year we hope to raise over $125,000 to help meet the growing need in our community. There are lots of ways to participate in the wonderful event! You and your friends can purchase tickets starting January 2nd, 2014 here or at The Cathedral Bookshop (2620 Capitol Avenue) or The Avid Reader at the Tower (1600 Broadway Street). Also, check out our 7 sponsorship levels. More information is available on our website or contact Lisa Campodonico at or 916-871-3258.
